When trying to rebook, it’s coming up with an error that there’s no availability for my original travel dates for both directions - two days after the outbound flight for 4 days after the inbound flight.

What are my options if I want to go on the requested dates? Would BA route me on Virgin or El Al who fly on the same dates?
BA may be able to reroute you onto El Al, but equally on that route there is a very high movement of passengers, so there may be cancellations and other changes which will get you space. Today isn't the day to check with BA on this, but by all means ring BA when things get quieter and in particular know what you are prepared to accept / not accept since you are only allowed one change - you can't change your mind later.
