I last flew WTP probably 12 to 15 years ago to Miami and if I recall the 2nd meal was better than that one.
I'm flying WTP to SIN in April and back in May burning AA miles enroute to Australia. Given the taxes and miles spent I'm wondering if I should just cancel it and rebook elsewhere in Y. Cathay was my favourite but I don't think they will be flying for a while

Not sure about SIN but think you may be better off with QR in Y (at least they don’t go cheap on food).
First hand account from fellow passengers on my flight - they said pre-covid there has always been a second hot meal on the Brazil flights but this has been chopped since Covid.
In fact, I think BA is using covid as an “excuse” to cut costs. They say it’s all about minimising passenger contact but I don’t see the correlation between that and serving a full portioned sandwich at least vs. an embarrassingly half-portioned one - they’re dragging the whole Covid excuse as much as they can to squeeze as much margin on WTP. As I said above, you pay full fare and you get budget quality service, while BA happily rakes in all those profit margins.
