Agree. The only three benefits of value to me would be first class lounge, D class gurantee upto 24 hours before departure and easier award bookings. Might manage to get 300 K a year if I switch my BA/SQ longhaul flights to UA/LH (since I intend to keep my two other *Gs with BD and SK), but nothing compelling to change my travel preferences dramatically. One of the biggest drawbacks is that these benefits apply only if I fly LH, not with the other *A carriers.
