Isolated? No. "Little thing"? Yes, basically: this is almost certainly just a case of BAU.

ISTR that the last time I saw reported industry-wide figures for ramp accidents, it was about USD 3 billion for the direct costs, USD 9 billion if you add in the indirect costs from injuries etc.

That's per annum, in case it wasn't obvious.
