Gave KLM a call yesterday regarding getting a voucher issued from a request 12 days old. Was repeatedly asked if I had paid with a credit card to which I had. They later came back with because I had done a voluntary change on the ticket, and changed carriers (DL/KLM to AF metal on some legs) that this is what caused the issue but that the voucher would be issued within a day and after hang up took about 5 hours.
Additionally I had purchased a "Light" fare and subsequently paid trip extras for picking seats. I expected it to be rolled into the ticket, realized since they were extras they were probably gone, but their website says they do and they weren't included on the ticket voucher. On the phone again and we get to the conclusion that "trip extras" vouchers can't count towards purchasing a ticket, only other "trip extras". Word to the wise here.
Lastly, kinda surprised there were times I called and was told that "Hold times were longer than 45 minutes so call again later" (lightly paraphrased) and was hung up on. Seems odd to not just let me hold, give me a conservative estimate, or even a callback.
