I actually wasn't aware of this pass! I received a customer survey about a year ago (or maybe it was before Covid - time has become a bit 'warped') asking if I'd be interested in bulk ticket purchases for journeys "home" - targeted to ex-pats living in Greece, I presume. Maybe this pass evolved from that.
Anyway, if nothing else, it strikes me as a good mileage-run tool for those needing to requalify quickly and might be best value for the shorter flights. For example, the 6-flight Balkan pass costs 186 Euro and would allow weekend breaks in three of Tirana, Sofia, Bucharest and Belgrade while earning a minimum of 7200 tier miles (normally only 6x400=2400 in the Flex booking class). It just depends what the taxes are though - it would surely be at least double that in reality. More digging needed... EDIT: those round trips would cost a total of between 113 and 126 each. Still, 7200 tier miles for around 350 Euro is a pretty good rate and there is a real saving on the flights too, especially if you travel in high season.
It's a shame the scope is so limited. I'd take the domestic pass if it covered ALL destinations, not just the A3 operated ones. After all, now is the perfect time to see more of my adopted country, but I'd rather go to the dentist than visit Santorini or Mykonos! (yeah, I know, there are nicer options in the list).
