I recently got a BA Premium Plus Amex and am looking to spend the 4k over 3 months to get the Avios bonus.

If I 'purchase' these USD on the Wise app and they transfer to my partner's US account, can someone confirm that would be recognised as a purchase and not a cash advance? Ie it would count towards my 4k spend, rather than a cash transfer.
I assume, because I'd be entering the card details, it would indeed be a purchase. But I also am not quite 100% sure.
