HVN-DCA would get competition from AA, and then dropped once Avelo quit. Been tried in the past. You have to understand, there's never been any consistent air service out of HVN. My last trip to SoConn involved a 2 hour+ Amtrak ride to the EWR rail station. Area is starved for anything with wings to make an appearance.
Avelo's been very clear these are leisure destinations, but if you have to go anywhere around New Haven, you'll take it. I'll fly UA to BNA and connect to Avelo. Already did it via SFO-FLL.
