I'm not a fan of the J-class seat configs on AA's 788's or the Zodiac 772's. Based on this thread, the configs do have their fans but I feel like the majority of travelers dislike the setup. If you book into J class on these aircraft last minute and there are only a few J seats left, they are almost always the rear-facing seats that remain...I simply won't sit in them. I refuse to fly BA J-class for the same reason.
When flying AA longhaul, I avoid the 772/788 entirely when possible solely because of this. This is problematic and limiting for me when planning long-haul travel on AA.
Is there any active plan at AA to standardize the 777/787 fleet to have all forward facing J seats? I'd like to hope there is something to look forward to in the near future.
