Yes. UuA keeps the ticket as a commercial ticket. It's a fundamental point which underpins a whole range of factors, but a cash ticket plus UuA is structured quite differently from a redemption booking - things like fare basis and fare basis cancellation conditions are unique to commercial bookings, redemptions are not linked to a fare basis and have overarching cancellation conditions. Either way, UuA is not a redemption booking. BA maintains separate teams for commercial and redemption bookings, hence the difficulty we often see reported here when FTers get mixed up between commercial and redemption teams.
