Just would like to share my experience last week changing the date and origin of a booking. I originally had Manila-Istanbul with TK and then IST-WAW-ARN with LOT. Asked the agent to change it to Singapore to Stockholm about 2 weeks later and was told that I could only rebook to an itinerary with TK flying the SIN-IST and then another Star Alliance member flying IST-XXX-ARN. Obviously, the agent couldnīt find availability so I asked her why canīt I fly IST-ARN with TK. She said that as per the rule, it also has to be TK plus another Star Alliance member just like my TK-LO combination. I thought it was strange so I tried to HUACA and told the next agent to book SIN-IST-ARN with TK and he did not have any problem. He told me it would take a few hours to update and that theyīd give me a call for the payment (difference in tax plus 25 USD change fee) and which they did after a few hours.
