I have just now confirmed with the LHR concierge that it is indeed closed. Hope your flight went smoothly with the weather!
My flight landed before the wind storm hit so all good.
On the return got the to airport with less than 3 hrs to go. Agent checked vaccination. Checked PCR test very closely, went to a supervisor because some lab name was not prominent but all got sorted. Checked ArriveCan complete. LHR lounge was not even 30% full and I am probably being generous. Its opp the Singapore lounge if anyone wants to have a gander. Full serve bar. Food menu was salad bar, lentil soup, pasta, Thai shrimp and steamed rice, mini bacon burgers and some odds and ends. Lounge was very close to dep gates. Uneventful flight with a lot of empty seats to YUL in Y, PY and J. Had the beef as I will not gamble on the butter chicken again. Most people do not wear masks incl in the LHR terminal so was a surprise to some with the enforcement on the flight.
Arr at YUL was a PIA. Have Nexus but the Nexus agent decided it was time for a break so two agents had to deal with everyone though he did move us to front of the line. CBSA agent check our Nexus/passport, gave us some lengthy forms explaining Covid procedures, added a sticker to back of passports and off we went. First check was someone checking the back of the passport for sticker. Then got to the Covid lineup where she said we were randomly selected for arrival test, I think they were randomly selecting enough pax to fill all the kiosks. Fortunately we had preregistered with Dynacare. Got the nasal swabs and left. Got our BPs checked, Down the corridor got our BP checked again. Made it to the YYZ gate as boarding had just started. My upg did not clear though I did see one of the last J seats being filled by a uniformed FA probably deadheading. Flight was delayed as they waited for pax. They canceled the later flight and moved most of them onto ours so our A220 went out almost completely full. Went to deicing, they screwed up so we went back to decing for round 2 and finally took off. Waited about 30-40 mins for bags at YYZ.
