At the risk of misunderstanding your post, I personally would not spend a dollar to have my children fly up front.

They will not appreciate it. You take the risk that they might feel entitled to it, which could lead to a lifetime of feeling entitled, yet disappointed when they won't pay for it.

It is far better to be humble and appreciate the fact that your are flying and not riding your bicycle.
