Add the infant sooner rather than later, in case you also find that you need to cancel the whole itinerary and rethink...
Why was it so much trouble to add the infant? Was it just that you couldn’t get a hold of someone at the IB desk?
I made this booking a few months ago, but I called the Spanish phone # a few days after booking (I got right through) to ask about adding the infant and they made it sound easy.
I know you can pay the infant fee with avios if you book thru BA, but I’m in no position to cancel and rebook right now just a few weeks from the trip. That’s just too risky
