Looks right out of the sales pitch from one of the big consulting houses. DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION! YAY! That will for sure help. Just use a key word which everybody likes but nobody knows what it really means and apply it out of context. Probably means a lot of money is dumped into the consulting services to drive the transformation and their partners which sell the platforms. Cost cutting is then done on the business itself, e.g. crews, assets, ... The company looses, the digital transformation consultancy mafia wins.

See the same things happen in my small part of the business world.... the energy industry. Digital Transformation here and there. All good and dandy, but 99% of it is just dumping money into consultancies for a couple of years, do a review after 5 years and see it didn't do any good but actually made everything worse... and then naturally start again by hiring the same consultants for another round of digital transformation. And on and on and on, it goes.
