First apologies as I know all this has been answered endlessly. My search skills from inexperience of how this forum works means after half an hour of searching the BA EC threads, I failed to find any relevant answers.

We have FTVs from cancelled AVIOS with companion voucher flights from 2020 that expire on 30 April 2022. If we do nothing, I understand we will loose the vouchers but should get a refund of the credit from airport taxes and fees BA are also sitting on. Owing to personal circs we are only now in a position to be able to book flights, so I am not optimistic that there's any availability (to anywhere we'd want to go) as I believe the outward flight must be flown before that date. Is this correct?

We did actually try and contact BA to use the voucher back in December for January travel, and struggled to get much help from BA so gave up. Had we been able to make that booking, we would not have been able to fly on the dates as it turned out. So that did not teach us what the process is. Please may I have some tips on how to spend the voucher correctly - or links to threads that have a 'how do do it for dummies' would be fine.

Is there any way to extent the voucher?

Any other bright ideas of alternative or creative ways of using the vouchers?
