Can't log in, and Marriott can't respond
I've got reservations that need to be modified. Last week, my online account worked fine. This morning, the system wouldn't accept my log in name or password. Ended up reconfirming my member number (it's been the same for 30 years, and for some reason they are now telling me they prefer my member number instead of my email address) and then they sent me a link to reset my password, but when I clicked on the link I was told it wasn't working. Called the Gold Elite line; the computer said it would text me a response. Took ten minutes for them to send the text, which just repeated what appears at their web site for troubles with logging in. So I tried the Gold Elite line once again, which once again kept wanting to text me a response. It took quite a workaround to try and get to an agent, at which point, I was told the wait time would be over ten minutes. No way. The emails I received a week ago confirming my reservations have buttons to modify or cancel. If this doesn't get fixed, I'm prone to cancel everything and stay at a non-Marriott brand that at least has a functioning web site. Any suggestions from other Marriott "Bonvoy" guests?
