The trip was subsequently cancelled (our end - not United cancellation, to get clear) and my assistant cancelled the flights through Concur protectively (trying to be helpful). This was well in advance of the departure date.
Now the several-hundreds-of-dollars I paid to upgrade are, functionally, missing.
United refunded the original amount to the corporate card (per our Concur agreement with them) but has not refunded the upgrade fee I paid, nor is it in my travel bank OR was it refunded to me (my personal CC). Am I SOL?
I’ve run into challenges trying to track this down…. Anyone experienced this?
IIRC, upgrade fees are not refundable for voluntary cancellations. If you upfared (ie, class was changed, say, from T to P or Z, that’s different…an upfare where the whole thing should be refunded. But if it was an upgrade offer, these are almost always an upgrade fee, and non-refundable.
