Short but nice stay as a Globalist.
We had a twelve hour overnight at DFW on our BWI-DFW-HNL trip. We checked our bags all the way through to HNL at BWI and just kept an overnight bag as carryon for the overnight hotel stay. This made arrival the hotel so much easier as we just needed to take the skytrain to D and exit to the hotel from there.
Check in was friendly and quick. I would have appreciated a little more Globalist ego stroking in the the form of mentioning about Breakfast at the property and also that they had upgraded us to an Executive Suite but I did appreciate the brevity as our goal was really to get to sleep.
The room was great. I was a little concerned when I noticed that the room was right next to the elevator, but we did not hear a sound from it at all. The layout is very nice with everything you need at your finger tips. Plenty of plugs next to the bed on both sides. While I like the hi tech nature of the room, it can be a pain on a short overnight stay to find the right button to push to get the freaking light on.
We ate on the plane so we really didn't have a need for dinner but did have breakfast the next morning in the restaurant. It was really good quality and a nice place to dine. Service was good enough, nothing spectacular but definitely nothing bad about it.
We were flying out of Terminal D the next morning and you simply can't beat the convenience of just heading down the escalator, turning left and waking about 500 ft to the precheck lane and in minutes you are at your gate! The regular security line is at the bottom of the escalator for those without precheck.
We will definitely look to stay here again.
