I had a 32” flat monitor that I was going to sell before moving countries. Unfortunately, the sale fell through at the last minute and I couldn’t find a suitably large box or even bubble wrap on the morning of my move.

It was only a cheap one (£190 new) and it wasn’t worth losing my flight over, so I ended up wrapping it in old towels and packing tape and, perhaps unsurprisingly it didn’t quite make it with discolouration at the top left corner. However, after a week it miraculously came back to life and I’m still using it now.
