NO, Hilton does waive them for award stays (which is the only way I'd use points for higher end hotels/resorts that charge resort fees).
Marriott does not, always a resort fee for award stays or paid stays.
So I'll stick with Hiltons for higher end/resort stays, and Marriott for more basic stays.
No sense jumping from the frying pan into the fire.
