Send an email to the Hyatt Consumer Affairs and also reach out to your Concierge. They will remove this fee for you if the hotel dares to say "we're exempt".

Andaz Mayakoba is pretty egregious in this regard.... fees and more fees. But it doesn't just do that... they price in USD... convert to pesos at an inflated rate and then try to charge you in USD at checkout again, at an inflated rate... pretty disgraceful if you ask me... but I digress...
