You sound exactly like a TK call center agent. Unlike other airlines, when schedule changes happen with TK you have very little flexibility to change things. There's absolutely 0 logic in limiting the sleeping room time to 9 hours. It should be at least 12. Bump up the minimum from 4 to 7 if crowding is a concern.
It is what it is. Choose the other airline and everything would be perfect! Being 12 hours would not ease the availability, because the rooms quantity is the same. When sleeping rooms qualifying hours would be up to 12 than the free hotel requirement hours would be raised too and less flyers could have this benefit.
