I realise this is an old thread.

Has anyone had any experience with claims from this company. I was considering renting a car and taking out an excess policy with them, but it says you're not covered for:

"3. Where you or another driver on the rental agreement contravene driving rules or laws in any local jurisdiction during the specified journey."

If you don't see an approaching vehicle and pull out in front of them, resulting in a crash, you've failed to give way, which is a breach of a road rule. Has it been the experience of anyone here that they use that to disallow a claim?
