I see the issue.

I thing are 2 types of AC gift cards

a) one that one buys - which is like cash- which is transferable

b) but the gift cards are the type I got over the last few years as compensation for cancelling my AC tickets (one for covid reasons, one for another reason)- would those gift cards not be specifically designated for me/my use.
