You can't add membership numbers thru CapitalOne Travel
So some of you are aware that you can't add frequent flyer/membership numbers to your reservations thru C1 Travel portal (which uses Hopper). Well you probably won't be able to add them from the company you booked with either. I just experienced that with Hertz. Had some points and I got the President's Circle perk so I wanted to try it. I booked the appropriate class thru C1 travel; no place for a member number. I call up Hertz and say I'm a President's Circle Status and I want to add my member number to my reservation. They find the reservation but say that they can't add Hertz number because it was booked through a 3rd party, Hopper. I would have to cancel the current reservation and rebook through Hertz. I call C1 Travel and they call Hertz and same story, can't add Hertz number. I found my reservation on Hertz website and app but no place to link it to my Hertz membership.
Also booked Marriott hotel too. Went and tried to find the reservation on Marriott's site to link to my account and the reservation number is not valid in their system. Marriott's true confirmations are numbers; Hopper uses letters (plus it was one character too long). Marriott post a disclaimer that if you used a 3rd party to book the stay, that you should contact them to make changes.
I even went on Hopper's site and app and tried to find a way to search for my booking. Not possible. Hopper is such a basic travel portal. Disappointing that C1 chose Hopper when Expedia would have worked better (that's who CSR uses and that works).
