Heads-Up - Refunded Ticket causes improper clawback of LPs
I had booked a ticket and paid with my Barclay AA branded Mastercard. The miles for that purchase properly posted to my AAdvantage account as 1x base miles (and thus LPs and RDMs) and 2x bonus miles.(just RDMs). Upon cancellation of that trip, the cost of the ticket was was properly refunded to my card, but upon review my Barclay statement and Aadvantage account, it is clear that the appropriate 3x clawback of miles all came from base miles.
I'll send a note to both AA and Barclay, but I'm not sure that they will understand why this is an issue.
