On Japan to Europe routes for service and F&B the only airline that is the same level is ANA. Premium classes for sure, but for those the fly Y or PY it is going to stand out even more. I doubt that you will see any significant cut in the J soft product from JANA. Hard product, there are many reasons for personal preferences for one specific seat over another.

For me going to Europe from Japan, I just see the European airlines as options to connect from the JAL and ANA gateways to my final destination.
