Element Boulder Superior is managed by Aimbridge Hospitality, which manages approx 1,500 hotels across almost every hotel brand you've heard of -- probably at least a hundred different brands. The company is headquartered in Plano, Texas.

Marriott owns almost no hotels. Marriott manages only a fraction of the approx 8,000 properties that operate under its 30+ brands.

I'm glad you were able to evacuate safely. I'm sure it was a terrible ordeal.

From your description of what's now happening, Aimbridge Hospitality appears to be coordinating with the hotel's insurance company to deal with guests' losses from fire. Have you contacted your own insurance company? I honestly don't know which company has primary responsibility for the loss of personal possessions in a hotel room when there's a fire beyond the hotel's control.

Ultimately, the hotel carries Marriott branding, so Marriott can intervene if a franchisee fails to do its job in professional manner -- but this does not seem to be the case.

There are many people and businesses that suffered losses from the horrendous wind-driven fire. Making insurance claims is never fun. (The owners of the hotel lost a practically new 121-room hotel; they will presumably seek insurance funds to rebuild it, but are likely to lose a large amount of money in process anyway.)

You can ask Aimbridge Hospitality and/or Marriott for additional compensation in cash (or Marriott Bonvoy points). Ask for a specific amount. But only do so if you can make a legitimate case justifying the amount and why the hotel is responsible.
