About to start a series of trips and am now second-guessing my loyalty strategy for 2022. My gut told me that AAdvantage would make the most sense, since 1) my patterns and fare classes accrue the most miles on American, 2) I am an AU on an AAdvantage Executive card so Admirals Clubs access isn't an issue, and 3) I don't mind manufacturing a little spend/using portals. Merely looking to confirm my suspicions.

(1) What is most important to you in a FFP?
Baggage allowance, IRROPs desk (been burned one time too many in the past year). Upgrades and lounge access would be nice, but not necessary.
(2) How many miles do you usually fly each year & in what class? How many flights/sectors?
30-40k miles, typically in economy. Usually about 20-40 flights, mostly from the West Coast to Texas.
(3) What types of fares do you usually buy?
Usually cheaper economy fares. Very rarely business, at least with cash.
(4) Can you choose your airlines and/or class of service? Do you travel for work and/or pleasure?
My travel patterns work best with American, but that will likely be less relevant by 2023. Only travel for pleasure.
(5) Which routes and airlines do you fly most often?
LAX-DFW, LAX-SFO, BUR-wherever. Looking to do a couple international trips a year going forward.
(6) What is your home airport?
Any SoCal airport honestly, but LAX or BUR would be best.
(7) Do you have FFP status of any kind in OW or other airline? What is it? Do you have any miles banked in a FFP?
I have a decent amount of AAdvantage miles from the credit card and double dipping activities, but also plenty of Chase UR points. No status yet.
(8) Preferred Airlines? Most common Airlines flown on?
American is usually the most convenient, but from a product perspective, I have no airline preference.
