I stayed at this hotel for a month last summer (they had a long stay rate due to Covid). I loved it and didn’t find the room too small. I had an interior room with a balcony and there was a desk. Because I did a long stay (at a very very low price), it specifically did not come with daily towels/cleaning, so can’t comment on that.
But the design of the hotel, the location, the amenities (including small rooftop pool and large terrace outdoors for dining) and decor make this a favorite for me. If going higher end and wanting to stay Marriott, I would choose this or the Le Meridien. I don’t like the LM location as much as Las Ramblas is very touristy (although I do love the Alt Raval with cute shops and restaurants), but I have consistently gotten fantastic treatment and upgrades there over the years (have only done one-month stay at Cotton House).
The W is nice but not as well-located unless wanting to be on the beach. Have not stayed at the Edition.
if looking for a non-Marriott alternative, Casa Camper is great and I’ve enjoyed some Room-Mate Hotel stays.
