just want to vent, booked on LAX-SLC in X this Thursday at 5:45 am departure, planned to use SDC to get on a later flight. First DL flight after a year, and I misinterpret the rule. Although the top says it needs to be in the same fare class, the T&C says
> If you have a Main Cabin ticket, you can only be rebooked in the same fare class as your original flight as long as a seat is available in Main Cabin
I think it should just add a few more words to avoid any confusion as
If you have a Main Cabin ticket, you can only be rebooked in the same fare class as your original flight as long as a seat in that fare class is available in Main Cabin
Because for AS/AA, they either allow any seat in the booked cabin available, or a special inventory but still you fly on your booked fare class. Clearly, it is not the case for DL main. During the SDC window, many times only Y is available, and I really don't know how many out there purchase Y in advance. I should have booked C+.

And is Thursday the new Friday, this route (other than the morning departures) the F sold out 5+ days, and C+ sold out for all flights probably at T3?

Edit: for future reference or anyone needs to see what it looks like

A question though, while I'm standing by for multiple later flights, I can only see the standby list on the earliest standby list. Is there a way to check the standby list for additional flights?
