She has had the Explorer for years and is here longest revolver so I was thinking of just downgrading that to the Gateway to keep active with no annual fee. Is the 24 month SUB rule per specific product or for all united co-branded products?

The easiest way i was thinking is just apply for Quest and then down grade current Explorer to Gateway. would this be correct or am I missing something on the steps to get this end result.

Thanks
Probably best for the Chase forum. But I did just that. Applied for the Quest while I had the Explorer open. Downgraded Explorer to Gateway to keep credit line/age of account and to avoid annual fee.
The 24 month rule appears to be per product. I received the Quest bonus without issue.

She should be sure she's under 5/24 before she applies..
