We’re in the main hotel and seem to have the same room type as you. I booked a Grand Deluxe and was upgraded to a Duplex Suite, Garden View. It has a bathroom with a shower and a living room with a balcony on the main floor and then another bathroom with a shower and tub and the bedroom with a French balcony upstairs. I originally had bookings at both Ocean Suites and the hotel but decided to stick with this one. The property is still part of the LC. Breakfast was definitely a zoo yesterday when we went near closing time after staying awake for the Super Bowl; we went earlier today and found it to be much better.
We actually did very well as far as room upgrades on this trip. Of the five hotels where we stayed, the only one where we didn’t receive a suite was the Courtyard in NOLA, and there we were upgraded from an interior atrium view queen to a corner king. The suite upgrades were the Marriott Madrid Airport, Circulo Gran Via (used SNAs for that one), Conrad Algarve, and Pine Cliffs.
