When I saw this posted less than a month ago, guess I was expecting the $900. My delay was longer and I am 1K...though not sure those would have any positive effect on it.
Not sure why some are offered $800 and others $900.
And for miles... the 45,000 vrs the 30,000 that I was offered is significant.

There are different compensation levels depending on how many hours and distance.

Anyways, I finally got a response from United Customer Care.
They offered a $900 United Travel Cert or 45,000 miles or I choose to go and get my 600 EUR via court EU261.

600 Euros is currently about $677 USD.

The Points Guy says miles is valued at 1.4 cents per mile, so 45,000 miles is valued at $630.

So I chose the $900 cert.
