thanks for the answers. At the time I didn't see a way to transfer points but I saw a way to merge accounts so i went with that....
Now I just looked up transferring points and got: the message "

Unfortunately, you've reached your annual Free Transfer limit for the year."

But I also see you can pool your points..maybe i'll try it that way.
