Passengers choosing to fly in economy are more likely to be cost-conscious, and may be reluctant to spend money on unnecessary extras. But those flying in Club may not be buying their seats in advance either; if you routinely fly Club, you are more likely to get seat pre-allocation for free from the time of booking.
