Stay Report - 2/12 to 2/13

Location: Worked very well for my purposes. I was flying in and going to Disney the next day. It's an easy 15 minutes from MCO and then an easy 20 minutes over to Disney. It's very close to I-4 and FL-528 which makes getting around the area easy too. Also there are plenty of restaurants around the hotel ranging from chain places, fast food places to nice restaurants.

Hotel: In a word, massive. It consists of two high rise towers above a massive lobby complex with tons of event and meeting space. There are even ballrooms on the floors with the rooms. There was supposed to be both valet and self park but valet was full when I was there. Self park is in a garage connected by a covered walkway 1000 feet away. The lobby had a bar in it and there were several more bars and restaurants around the hotel though annoyingly the pool bar was closed. Speaking of the pools there seem to be two, one by each tower. I went to the outdoor one by tower 2 which is very pleasant.

Check In: Really unimpressive. No Globalist recognition. When I mentioned being annoyed at the lack of valet parking the agent said she'd "take care of parking" for me. I said I was a Globalist on an award stay so it was already free and she ignored me.

Room: Way above average for a Hyatt Regency. Nice size, new furniture, large TV, very large bathroom and no issues with soundproofing. There was a fridge and a coffeemaker as well. Zero complaints about the room. The app said I was "upgraded" but the "upgrade" was from Two Queens to Two Queens Regency Club Access which I already had.

Regency Club: Open daily for breakfast and for evening appetizers. Evening food was charcuterie, some small desserts and chicken wings as a hot option. Breakfast was breads, smoked salmon, cereal, yogurt and horrible breakfast sandwiches. I was happy to have the club for dinner but disappointed not to have an alternate for breakfast.

Overall a decent option for Orlando, just low on Globalist benefits.
