My vote is for the Hilton Anaheim. I've stayed there twice in the past two months, and many times over the past few years, and have always been satisfied with my stay. Everything has been consistent.

As for recreation, there is an "anaheim resort" shuttle that costs ~$3/day/person that shuttles you between the hotels and the Disney park / downtown area. Also, people tell me that the health club in the hilton is very nice.
