PremEx - yes the convention is at the Anaheim Convention Center! Someone suggested to me that it is worthing going a bit further such as either the Hyatt Anaheim / Orange County or even to the Beach which have much nicer places. Would you agree or is it not worth the hassle?
Just depends on your personal preferences and how much free time away from the hotel and convention you plan on having.
There are certainly nicer hotels all over the place, but you'll need a car rental and extra travel time to/from the Convention Center, etc.
You won't be lacking for things to do in the immediate Disneyland area...that's for sure!
