Unless the journey to Wembley actually starts at Marylebone itself, I would say it’s better to take the tube to and from Wembley Park.
For our specific trip, we'll be on Oxford Street before heading to the stadium, so train from Marylebone seems logical.
On the return, we'll need to get to Trafalgar Square area, so sounds like the suggestion would be to take tube back.
