I was on that flight and it was clear to everyone he was behaving badly. He made unnecessarily insensitive and comments to the cabin crew (who will have been through a very tough two years) and seemed equally belligerent when the police arrived so deserved to go. Everyone applauded the crew and captain when he was removed for their professional behaviour despite it delaying the flight by nearly three hours. Well done BA for doing the right thing".
"I had the misfortune to be on that plane and through my lens he was obnoxious, rude and arrogant.
The way he spoke to the crew was just awful.
For a 90 minute flight he could have let the nanny sit with his wife and the kids in business, sat himself in economy and resolved with BA in his return. The nanny ( very charming, embarrassed yet loyal ) sat next to me briefly and told me that ‘ mercury was in retrograde “ .
Perhaps the rest of the passengers, and those delayed on the return flight that evening should take a class action against him for the delays caused by his self entitled behaviour".
"I was actually on this flight (a 2 hour delay because of this episode). Let's just say, his story differs somewhat to eye witness accounts 🤔"
Unfortunately, the article is behind a paywall.
Ouch! This puts a very different slant on things. Assuming that this is true, I suspect that British Airways will not be welcoming him aboard for some considerable time to come. I suspect that quite a few of us wondered if there was a very different side to this story. The poor Nanny must have been mortified. I have to say that I always wondered why his age should appear in the article and for that matter on here.
