OK I think I have it.

Just tap the contactless credit card at the reader on the way in.... then tap again on the way out at Wembley... and voila.. it knows exactly how much to charge.

Only question is that it seems the return (round-trip) is a better value than a one-way, so will the system know it was a round-trip and charge accordingly?
