In response to BA’s statement, Banner said, “There was nothing disruptive about what happened. The cabin crew may not have liked my request for an explanation, or my indicating that I had made a complaint about them, but I was wholly within my rights to do so in light of their unacceptable behaviour”.

To continue to press the issue when it is readily apparent that the capacity of the crew to reason about the complaint is actually disruptive. To further bring to light that a complaint had been made was also solely antigonstic and intended to try to force the crew to comply with his request, either for an explanation or for reseating of PNR party. This attempt to intimidate has no purpose other than to further emotionally disrupt the crew from their principal duties. I'm 100% certain all words used were eloquant and polite, however the continued badgering of the point, as right as it may be, is, in fact, disruptive.

It is unreasonble to expect crew of adequate capacity to operate a short 2-hour flight to have the additional capacity to execute due process and consideration with the rigours of jurisprudence, and to press for this, is disruptive.

"We kept asking for an explanation and the cabin crew kept telling us again and again in response that we would be compensated, repeatedly gaslighting us by ignoring our request for an explanation as to why the spare seat could not be used"

The crew said they're not qualified to either a) appologize on behalf of BA for the mixup (surely a lawyer understands why field workers cannot speak on behalf of corp), b) to calcualte compensation for the mixup, or c) explain why the middle seat is blocked. "We kept asking", "again and again", and "repeatedly" has the air of disruptive trolling. You've determined they're not changing their minds, and perhaps also determined they're wrong and of limited capacity to understand how they are wrong. Fine. But trials do not happen while bullets are flying... of the two parties involved in this interaction, I would expect one side to have the advantage of reason.

The irony of this is, the important work that needed to be done on the flight has been replaced by learning about EC261, tarrifs, and other consumer rights law... that or dude just had to let off some steam and thinks it's cool to delay 200 others with filibustering.

Oh wait, from another site (https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2022/02/1...er-nanny-feud/)
Banner estimates that the entire incident has cost him almost £4,000 and is demanding financial compensation from BA as well as a full apology.

Ok, this thread isn't worth the time we've all put in to it... 4k? Presumably 10 minutes of genius mouth work is worth more than that? Imagine the compensation owed to all pax if the flight was another 20 minutes late. Might be much cheaper for BA to just apologize and "Banner" him from the airline. (come on, this is funny)
