Anyway, this is the same way that cash back work with Chase Ultimate Rewards. So do you think that is going change too? Chase similarly uses 2% or 5% in some advertising for UR cards that actually earn 2x or 5x UR points. So it would it the same pickle (of not being able to advertise that way) if they changed UR redemption for cash back.
It's this advertising which prevents these bank companies from seriously altering redemption rates for cash back, if they have cards where they want to advertise the points rate as if it were cash back.
Now, rounding errors, those are possible. Those have always been there with this card, since earning 1% back on the purchase and the other 1% back when you pay may not be EXACTLY 2.0000000% back.
