OneWorld LAX

Interesting turn of events at LAX today.

Flying AS domestic as BA GGL and was denied entry to the OneWorld Lounge by the Qantas staff because it was AS rather than AA, et al

Wondered over to the AA Flagship Lounge and was welcomed with open arms.

Thought I’d ask them a favor and to do my bidding and call the OW Lounge. They were more than happy to and asked the question, can I enter? QF quickly said yes but let me check. The person I’d originally interacted with clearly took the follow up and explained, because AS was not part of OW I was not eligible for entry, however, if I was AS OW Emerald flying QF I would be admitted.

So, FYI - if you’re flying AS domestically out of LAX you’ll be denied access to the OW Lounge.
