Answer - No.
Resort fees are only waived at check in. Yes, it may show as waived prior to arrival or in the app however MGM’s IT will add them on during your stay if it’s not manually done at check in and even then they still may be added on and you have to deal with it at checkout. The agent may not even tell you at check in and just waive them based on status they typically will do this at the same time they say “and thank you for being a Gold Member with us”.
On top of those potential issues Mobile check in has had many issues with having stays credited, especially if a physical key is never printed or the room is never entered.
But if you’re willing to spend the money to try this all to earn 1 EQN (or lose the money) you’re always welcome to as other posters have said.
