Mirroring what the others said. I had a stay here in October, and it was absolutely fantastic. We had a partial ocean view. My biggest gripe of this hotel is where it is located in proximity, there aren't as many good views of the water. Especially when considering neighboring hotels. We didn't get a free upgrade. Was offered to upgrade to Palm Beach Club. For the cost, it didn't make sense to us (I don't remember the cost either). I was actually prepared to pay for an upgrade to a different room that I selected on estandby. It wasn't available anymore.

The good part of the distance from the room to the ocean, is everything in-between. Gorgeous landscaping, plenty of large pools, palapas, creeks, restaurants, bars, even exotic animals, etc. This place absolutely reminded you at every corner that you were on vacation. The beach it is on is absolutely beautiful. Clear and calm. White sand. Tons of restaurants and shopping right across the street.

Included breakfast is always a huge point of contention. Since this was outside of the US, the continental breakfast was included. I did it for a few days, but that's not my kind of breakfast. For $8, you get upgraded to the "endless breakfast", which is absolutely amazing. Not only do you get the continental buffet, but unlimited omelet station, hot sides, anything on the menu, and unlimited mimosas. All while on a beautiful lagoon and lush scenery all around. I still think about this breakfast.

We rented a car for one day at $42. Mostly to check out Baby Beach. Worth every penny. Protip, if you do have a vehicle, and need groceries, hit up Superfoods. Do not waste your time in the little bodegas. Superfoods will have everything you need, at a great price.

As I was typing this, I just reminded myself how much I loved this place. Need to go back soon.
