We stayed at a Le Meridien outside of Jaipur where I had my own villa with a back yard in the middle of a large hotel complex. Exterior of the hotel looked a bit shabby but the inside of our villa was immaculate. The hotel had extremely attentive service all around - on par with a major city 4- or 5-star hotel.

Craziest thing about was I was a base SPG Platinum, the kind who barely qualified with ~25 stays per year, sometimes needing mattress runs to get it. I was there on a standard award...this place was maybe a Category 2. Yet they treated me like absolute royalty. The villa had to be a several-category upgrade.
