II salute your bravery in opting for one of the summer cottages: night temperature can touch zero in the winter months, and the plunge pool loses much of its appeal

Those same cottages come into high demand in the main season, when I guess insulation isn't so crucial. The hotel's front facing rooms in the main building are probably a better choice for most in the winter, with the balconies offering delightful marina and sea views: the corner ones in particular are spacious.

The reference to Kusadasi as a poorer cousin will set municipal sensibilities bristling ! It's certainly low-key in comparison to he more hedonistic resorts such as Bodrum; or to Turkey's third city, Izmir. But for many therein lies its charm: Kusadasi has a twin in Monterey, California.
